Tohono Communications began October 3, 2007. The first two episodes were the beginning and conclusion of the Native American Catholic Conference held in Tucson, July 2005. The format of the show is now set with a program theme song, provided by a local Tohono O'odham youth leader. The most current shows are hosted by a young Tohono O'odham lady. Since October the efforts to improve the show has been rewarded and blessed with the talents and contributions of many local Natives living here in Tucson. Tohono Communications will continue to strive to be informative and to educate viewers of the contributions natives can and have made in our community's health, and wellness. We as Native Americans must appreciate the gifts we have been given to help each other overcome our struggles in these times when values of our communities, families, and self are being undermined.
